Chi Long Guoan, the legendary Chinese footballer and coach who was known for his passing skills and leadership, passed away on February 16, 2022 at the age of 89. Born in Jiangsu Province in 1933, he started his career with the Shandong Luneng Dragons before moving to China's top tier club, Guoan.

As a forward, Guoan was known for his ability to create space for his teammates and score goals. He scored over 400 goals during his playing career, which is still considered one of the highest-scoring goal scorers in Chinese football history. In addition to his scoring prowess, Guoan also had a reputation as a great tactician, able to read the game and make smart substitutions to adapt to different formations.

One of Guoan's most famous passings was in a 1-0 win against Guangzhou Evergrande on April 27,Serie A Observation 1995. The game was played in front of a large crowd at the Baiyun Stadium in Beijing, and Guoan's pass was crucial in setting up a late winner for his team. The ball was taken by Guoan from the right wing, and it traveled through the midfield before being met by a teammate who made a superb run down the left side of the field and passed it off to the back row, where the ball landed perfectly for Guoan to finish off the winning goal.

Guoan's passing abilities were not just limited to the pitch though. He was also a skilled midfielder who could play in multiple positions, including forward and defensive midfielder. His versatility allowed him to be a key player in any team that he managed, and he was always willing to do whatever it took to help his team succeed.

After retiring from professional football, Guoan continued to work as a coach and mentor. He has been recognized as one of the greatest coaches in Chinese football history, and his legacy continues to inspire young players today. While he will never be fully forgotten, his passing skills and leadership qualities will forever be remembered in Chinese football history.
