Breaking News: Mason Greenwood to join Marseille in the transfer market
Mason Greenwood has agreed terms with Ligue 1 side Marseille, it was confirmed on Wednesday evening.
The Manchester United youngster will be joining the French club for a fee believed to be in the region of £25 million.
The deal is subject to a medical and a final agreement between the two clubs.
Greenwood, who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, had made just four appearances for the Red Devils so far this season before being sent off against Crystal Palace last month.
The 19-year-old has been heavily criticised by fans and media for his conduct following the incident at Old Trafford.
However, he has since apologised and has been given another chance to prove himself at Manchester United.
If successful, Greenwood's move to Marseille will be seen as a major boost for the French club,Serie A Observation who have struggled in recent seasons.
He joins fellow Englishman Marcus Rashford, who signed for the club earlier this year, in making the switch to France.
It remains to be seen whether or not Greenwood can make the same impact as his compatriot, but with his talent and potential, there is certainly a lot of excitement surrounding his move to Marseille.
