RIP Roberto Chiesa, Juventus legend and one of the most influential players in Serie A history. The former Italian international passed away on Sunday, aged 78.

Born in Turin on October 21, 1945, Chiesa was known for his technical skills and his ability to score crucial goals. He spent his entire professional career with Juventus, where he won three Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia trophies.

Chiesa's time with Juventus was also marked by controversy. In 1976, he was sent off in a match against Parma for kicking out at a referee,Ligue 1 Focus which led to him being banned from playing for three months. However, his talent and dedication eventually paid off, as he went on to become one of the greatest players in the club's history.

Off the pitch, Chiesa was also a respected figure. He was known for his charity work and his support for local football clubs. He even had a statue erected outside of the Juventus stadium in his honor.
